Is this not lovely? The Mollie Makes team have hand crafted a new weekly digital mini-mag for the iPad. I have to come clean and say that I don't have an iPad myself (nor any other kind of tablet or internet gadget, just my grinding old clockwork computer). I believe there are links and clickable things inside. I was delighted to be commissioned to create a simple acorn pattern, which can be made in 2-3 hours easily.
I was hugely tickled to see the promo video, which features a somewhat larger version of the acorns;
Although if you make the ones in 'Gathered', they should be this big;
There is a great offer of your first five issues for free when you subscribe, details of which are here.
There have been mumblings and grumblings
that it's not available across all tablet platforms; there are plans to expand
availability next year, but there various technical issues to overcome. However, everything starts somewhere. From little acorns big oak
trees grow.

First decent reason for buying an i-pad. Damn.
Actually am in no way solvent enough for any type of tablet and only have a laptop coz work gave it to me (and will want it back if I leave).
Will have to ask for a subscription to the paper version for my birthday.
I love all acorns, especially your woollen ones!
That is AWESOME! Congratulations! I'm an Android/Google girl myself, can't wait until it comes to that platform.
for some reason, I think acorns are one of the loveliest things there are.
There, I've admitted it to the whole world now!
xx
There must be acorn-y pun to be had here but I'll refrain if that's oak-ay with you. Wonderful pieces by the way.
Gretel, as you might guess, I am also without smart phone or tablet, though think I still have my own brain ticking every second.
It's clever of Mollie M to go this promotional direction using your fabulous talent.
Hey...you know my last name. I think we might need to correspond a bit about acorns. Look out for an e-mail.

Not sure what it is about acorns but they are such sweet little things and yours are gorgeous Gretel.......
Their little 'hat's make great whistles if you need one....
The mini mag sounds like a fab idea, but I dot love to hold the paper version in my hands and pore over the beautiful pics on each page......

I'm glad to see I am not the only one who adores acorns. I can't felt so I may have to just buy yours :)
I love acorns, they are so cute! The felted ones are adorable.
Your acorns are just lovely! You must be very excited about your participation and I am sooooo glad for you, Gretel!:)x
heh, video. :)
I know it's been said before and probably will be said again, but you do beautiful needlefelting work.
Hi Gretel, I love the acorns! and the online mag looks brilliant. I'm still in the dark ages with such things and can't quite get my head around reading magazines online! Despite all the other stuff I do online!
I was after some advice if you don't mind..? I have begun needlfelting, I'm making little nests and birds but I need to get a new needle and wondered if there was one you could recommend or a good brand or website? It's all very new to me, I did a workshop in it years ago and have only just rediscovered it! (and loving doing it...not so much when I stab myself though!!) I would really appreciate your help, thanks, Lisa (littledottybird@hotmail.co.uk)
...and from little acorns ...great oaks do grow!! these are gorgeous!
Delightful little acorns!
I am so very proud of you Gretel!!

what a great video.... especially the music.... and those girls..even with fancy manicures can actually use a drill and a saw and not look awkward...good for them!
Oh dear, I left you a congratulatory message on your wonderful news of NEW HOME... and it just disappeared! So, again, I am so HAPPY about your cottage, may you and Andy live happily ever after in your cozy home sweet home!
I LOVE acorns, I even wrote an "Ode to an Acorn" last year on my blog. Never thought of wooly acorns, they are charmers.
