Something wicked...

Something wicked this way comes...with cloven hooves and devilish little horns. The type nerds amongst you might like to know that her name tag uses the appropriate 'Alleycat' font.

Just in time for Hallowe'en, curling her tail in a lady-like manner - (held up entirely on its own; no pipe cleaner core, just hours of painstaking stabbing...)

But just to show she is really a sweet little pussy cat, she has a heart hidden right under that pointed tail...

(I decided it was time to start re-stocking my poor little Etsy shop, and inbetween studio work and house work, I found time to split time in two, thus enabling me to get my orders cleared and do some 'me' stuff too. I don't expect the Noble science prize for the little time-splitting thing, but I am quite pleased with Minxie's tail...)

Gorgeous! Love the cheeky wee heart on her tail! I'm still absolutely dumfounded how you manage to tame a ball of fluff with a needle into some of these fab creations!

That'd be 'dumbfounded' if I ever managed to concentrate when typing! :D

Minxie is a delight.
Yes, cats have a little of the devil in them - perhaps that's what makes them such enchanting companions.
I liked the post below too.
Such wonders we find in nature.

I don't know why I'm amazed ... your work is always fabyoulous.

She's great, love the tail and heart detail :)
Can I borrow your time splitting device please? I suddenly find myself pleasurably if frustratingly busy!

Count me in amongst the font freaks! Alleycat is perfect for Minxie's tag!

She's beautifully devilish. Like elizabeth said above, all cats have a bit of the devil in them. :)

I once bought a needle felting kit for a little bear with extremely large feet. I still have yet to attempt it. The kit is supposed to be "easy." I keep thinking I should give it a go and see what comes out of it. It doesn't look easy to me!

I have several needle felted mini replicas of my breed of dog that I've bought over the years. Unfortunately, the cats are really attracted to the wool and I need to keep them under lock and key.

It must take hours.. maybe you should rename her RSI cat. Or Carpel Tunnelcat(Don't know how to spell it) But really, doesn't your hand hurt? Its gorgeous by the way.

Another classic has been released from your imagination and skill.

Fantastic cat!

Will there be other felines ... so many possibilities, without ever dipping into cuteness.

your wooly creatures are so delightful!
And I love your hornets nest story also! Maybe a felted hornet to accompany the treasure is in order?

She is wonderful. I especially love the picture of her from the back where you can see the graceful sweep of her back, augmented by the equally impressive sweep of her tail.

Good on ya!

Wow G! thats really sweet, I love the curves and lines you've created, wonderful shapes, and the way you've blended the black wool into the red. The heart underneath the pointy arrow of her tail is a good idea too.
Hope all is well for you.

Wow!! Beautiful, you are very talented! I saw some needle felted wool in Hobbycraft, I was tempted but then didn't!

What a little minx! (the cat, not Gretel :))

Your calendar arrived today (available on Etsy guys!) - beautifully wrapped in red - what a treat on a wet Monday morning! I can't wait for 2009 so I can start using it now...

We love Minxie! Ellie May, Polly and Brody think she's the cat's meow!

I thank you for encouraging me to start a blog and it's been one week and I love it though my time is quickly vanishing!
thanks again!

Minxie is adorable - I love the colours and the little heart on her tale. (I wonder how well she'd get along with my Fishy!)

She is positively UNDULATIOUS! We have some "Alchemy" around here too, although I have not seen any this year. Such architects of beauty and strength. A bit of, excuse me, a Buckminster Fuller of nature in all of her intelligent glory.
