Flaars for the lady...

Thank you for my flowers Mrs Mac! I added some of that green wotsit stuff you told me was beloved of florists, and a bit of Valerian. Let's hope the cats don't push it over...

Ooh how lovely, I bet they smell wonderful. Can't beat a big old jug full of fresh flowers, I can imagine this scene appearing as a background detail in one of your illustrations one day

I love the alchemilla flowers next to pink; they just make everything look so vibrant. I bought an alchemilla a few years ago; the first language on the label was German, and they'd translated Lady's Mantle as Lady's Coat. So it's been Lady's Coat ever since. It's always fascinated me that such a thuggish plant has such delicate flowers!

Ladys Coat hehe, doesn't quite have the same ring! mine never produces enough flowers for picking :o(

Ah, Ladys' Mantle, that were it. I inherited a few plants in pots, and had been struggling to see what the point of them was. Now I have found a use for them they won't end their days on the compost heap.

My almost-mother-in-law is very kind when it comes to things like flowers. :-)
