Jenny Big-Foot

Good bye Jenny Big-Foot. You were only two days old when you left home and you were my favourite toy I have made so far; we both have big broad feet, and a rather shy attitude to people we don't know.

You looked so proud as I tied your official name tag round your neck and my heart twinged as I listed you on Etsy. Less than two hours later you were no longer mine...but I was so pleased to find it was a fellow illustrator, Michele who had taken you. It made it easier.

I gave your beak a little (dry) kiss as I packed you in tissue and sent you on your way. Now you are travelling hundreds of miles away, across the Atlantic ocean - farther than I have ever been or probably ever will be. The toy shelf is emptier without you.

I might have to make you again.

This little creature is beyond adorable. She reminds me of a toddler, just learning to make her way and in need of a hand to hold.

I came here from Rosehaven Cottage, and I am so happy I did, because your little creation is adorable!

I love your items! And I can see why you love Jenny Big Foot. We have items that we sell (Jellycats) that when i ship them out I often think "I hope you are going to a good home that will appreciate you." So I understand your reluctance to let htem go.

She is adorable. It would be a bit of a heart wrenching experience to send her off like that. I know she'll be loved and appreciated.

Oh Gretel... I don't think I would have been able to part with her.
Had she not been sold, I might have been scraping pennies together myself to have her come live with me!
But at least you know her destination, and can follow her adventure. Maybe she will send you postcards :o)

Oh, Jenny, what a lovely beak you have!

"All the better to GOOSE you with, my dear!"

(Actually Jenny is entirely lovely, beak, feet, and heart-patch on the wing.)

They just keep getting better! :D Jenny is adorable, I think the world does need more felt sculptures like her. I'm really in awe of your skill!

PG, you are on such a three-dimensional roll!
Jenny is a beautiful sculptural creation that is also an animal to delight any child.

From what you've written before, I know that it does take quite a bit of time to create this menagerie that springs from hanks of yarn and your imagination. Are you still able to continue with the painting and the letter press as well, or do you keep all these and your marvelous sketchbooks in rotation?

However it is that you are doing what you are doing, the results are splendid!

Ah Gretel - Jenny Big-Foot is adorable. I love the little hearts on her wings.

Fishy asked to be moved from the orchid so that she could look out of the window. Now there's a fish rebellion occurring - with the goldfish jumping and trying to get out of the tank. I think they know it's 13c outside and sunny!
