Little Gems

Inside my kaleidoscope

Our one round yellow courgette from 2007

Common Blue butterfly, rather faded and tatty

Pool/snooker chalks at the pub

Watchful rooster

Skulls and sweetpeas

Ladybird nestling in dead squash leaf

Medieval fragment, head of Christ (probably), safely niched away at the top of a window at Sandford St Martins Church, Oxfordshire.

Gretel, these gems really glow, and I like each photograph. Amongst my favorites would be the chalk at the pub and the skulls with sweetpeas.

Have a grand weekend!

Yes, gems indeed.
You look with such close attention to the tiny things.

do you make prints of your amazing photographs Gretel? I particularly love the blue butterfly and the pool cue chalks is something else....

Lovely, the collection of skulls if fantastic. I have a fox's one in my classroom (sterilised in our dishwasher much to the amusement of colleagues) he keeps losing teeth sadly. I would love some more, where do you get yours?

Lovely.
The yarn I'm knitting with at the moment is almost the colour of that butterfly. And I love your still life of skulls and sweet peas. Come to think of it... that'd be a great name for a band, don't you think.

Beautiful theme - the kaleidescope, then the delicate skulls and phlox(look like phlox to me), then window with the mosaic-like halo - 'tis a poem!

Am sat here wondering how you took the picture of the inside of the kaleidoscope. Loved the pool chalks too. I would love to pick up and look at all your skulls. It looks a great collection.
