Ribbon delights

When you are lucky enough to snag a gorgeous old chocolate box for a song, the only thing to do is to fill it with lovely things. Shall we put a sparkling cobweb collection of organza ribbons in the top tray?

And underneath, more sumptuous satin ribbons - all perfect for little circus ruffs for small circus toys.

Because you can never have enough beautiful ribbons. Or vintage chocolate boxes.

I just love color and fancy boxes. My big weakness is a fancy tin to squirrel things away.

Love your ribbons.

Gretel, that box sends me down some memory lane to a place I cannot quite find. Sort of a dream journey.

The ribbons inside the box are also rather dreamy, and so much more organized that ribbons I've saved. Perhaps you are inspiring me to a bit more organization, although I also like just seeing some odd lengths of ribbon curled up in a tea cup or hanging off the edge of a bookshelf or...well, just appearing at random.

Exactly the right place for your ribbons. Where do you keep the odds and ends pieces though! I find those impossible to keep tidy!

......and here I was thinking you were going to fill it with chocolate, hehe........
The ribbons are beautiful, a confection of satiny, organza goodness.

My ribbons live in a zip lock bag at the moment, but I am inspired to find something more fitting to keep them in.

That chocolate box alone would've been wonderful to receive as a gift . Imagine what the chocolates were like that filled it, mmmm....

Seriously scrumptious ribbons.
Why are ribbon one of those irresistible things?

Do you ever need/use cigar boxes (the wooden kind)? Every now and then one comes my way (thanks to my husband).

There is something inherently magical about a chocolate box. (But perhaps that's just because there's something inherently magical about chocolate...)

Hoping things have gone well in Bath!

I like to think that when you open the box there is a gentle wafting up of chocolate ghosts.
Lovely ribbons too.
