No idle hands

Until I invent the ever-replenishing household pot, there is no time for idle hands, despite having picked up an old man's cough. (Not literally from an old man that is, just sounding like one). My chest has been rattling and whistling like a dried seed pod in a north wind, but it's quietening down now. Life at the moment is mercifully uneventful. Apart from the pleasure of seeing this -

- sell out of stock on Amazon UK on the first day of sale. More coming soon - thank you world!

There was a slight delay in posting my comment, as I had to go over to Amazon and order my copy - it should be despatched in a fortnight! Congratulations on your success - well deserved for all your beautiful work!

Wicked Amazon - I was supposed to be notified when it was in stock, but not a word. I shall chase it up!

Isn't this exciting!!!!!

That would explain why it showed up as backordered. Well, patience is supposed to be a virtue.

Sorry to hear you've picked up the smoker's cough. I often run into a case of the crud this time of year, usually because of allergies... and over time it devolves into bronchitis. Yech. Take care and stay warm!

What a happy day! Congratulations, dear Gretel!! I'll try to buy this book - it's a little bit difficult for me from here, but I have someone who helps from England!:)
I'm sorry, I missed the post, dedicated to your book. I't so nice you succeeded in fulfiling your dream - for your dear parents and for your artistic soul!
I'm so moved...
I'm wishing you a lot of new, amazing journeys in the world of children's literature!
P.S. Spring has JUST arrived here and the bushes and trees are in a hurry to bloom and show their leaves! I hope I could "catch" some butterflies, while dancing in the gardens. Later on..:))))

Gretel, do try to banish that cough (I write this from one who pretends that her own two or is it three-year coughing interruptions do not exist.)

Meanwhile...rejoice in your success with the book! Try to get your publishers to organize a tour to the States!

I am so very happy for your happiness. Bravo, bravo, bravo.

OMG....what a wonderful surprise Gretel!

I'll be ordering my copy when I get home....they should be restocked by then....or.... are you also selling some yourself? ..

We're in Portugal... wish it was easy to just hop over there for a visit...but, not to be this time.....
HOwever, we are really having a nice time and this could conceivably get to be a regular visit .... so, maybe some day in the future.............

Great news about the book, thoroughly deserved!

You are just so incredibly productive, even while feeling bad.

Here's hoping for better breathing ahead, in the meantime, how glorious is it that you're selling so well?

Spring's coming, and that cough has to go away soon. Seems like we all have a cough this time of year.

Isn't it wonderful when someone's success and happiness makes us feel incredibly happy and grateful?
I feel just so after reading this.
Your news is brightening this gray and mizzly (mizzley?) morning here.
Take care of the cough. Perhaps a hot toddy in the evening?
Oh, happy day!

That's brilliant, Gretel!! Congratulations on your news...well, it's just...it's just........*sigh*

I see all your beautiful birds are gossiping about it too!

So happy for you...about the book...not the cough. I am finally rid of mine..the cough...I don't have a book. I think yours (book) is fab and wish we could get it here in the U.S. I know this is silly goose of a comment but it's 1 a.m. here and I need to get off here and go to bed. Keep up the wonderful work--hope you are feeling better soon! ♥

Deservedly so!
It is illustrators whose work first introduces children to the world of art, and what a charming world you have created.
