When you are lucky enough to snag a gorgeous old chocolate box for a song, the only thing to do is to fill it with lovely things. Shall we put a sparkling cobweb collection of organza ribbons in the top tray?

And underneath, more sumptuous satin ribbons - all perfect for little circus ruffs for small circus toys.

Because you can never have enough beautiful ribbons. Or vintage chocolate boxes.

OOOOooooooo!
ReplyDeletePerfect!! The ribbons deserve this LOVELY box!!
Blessings and Hugs, Linnie
Arghh! Ribbon envy! xx
ReplyDeleteI just love color and fancy boxes. My big weakness is a fancy tin to squirrel things away.
ReplyDeleteLove your ribbons.
Gretel, that box sends me down some memory lane to a place I cannot quite find. Sort of a dream journey.
ReplyDeleteThe ribbons inside the box are also rather dreamy, and so much more organized that ribbons I've saved. Perhaps you are inspiring me to a bit more organization, although I also like just seeing some odd lengths of ribbon curled up in a tea cup or hanging off the edge of a bookshelf or...well, just appearing at random.
xo
Yes but .."Natasha" knows that there is never a piece of ribbon thrown out of here ...no matter how teeny-weeny!! lovely lovely post!
ReplyDeleteExactly the right place for your ribbons. Where do you keep the odds and ends pieces though! I find those impossible to keep tidy!
ReplyDeleteWow Gretel...what a lovely vintage box...so pretty. made even more lovely with the addition of all those gorgeous ribbons.

Ohhhh...beautiful....ALL........ mmmm scrumpdilli-icous....
ReplyDeleteSerious envy - my ribbons are in a plastic chest of drawers!!
ReplyDelete......and here I was thinking you were going to fill it with chocolate, hehe........
ReplyDeleteThe ribbons are beautiful, a confection of satiny, organza goodness.
My ribbons live in a zip lock bag at the moment, but I am inspired to find something more fitting to keep them in.
That chocolate box alone would've been wonderful to receive as a gift . Imagine what the chocolates were like that filled it, mmmm....

Seriously scrumptious ribbons.
ReplyDeleteWhy are ribbon one of those irresistible things?
Do you ever need/use cigar boxes (the wooden kind)? Every now and then one comes my way (thanks to my husband).
There is something inherently magical about a chocolate box. (But perhaps that's just because there's something inherently magical about chocolate...)
ReplyDeleteHoping things have gone well in Bath!
I like to think that when you open the box there is a gentle wafting up of chocolate ghosts.
ReplyDeleteLovely ribbons too.
Oh Dear ! I've come over all "wanty" all of a sudden .
