Is this not lovely? The Mollie Makes team have hand crafted a new weekly digital mini-mag for the iPad. I have to come clean and say that I don't have an iPad myself (nor any other kind of tablet or internet gadget, just my grinding old clockwork computer). I believe there are links and clickable things inside. I was delighted to be commissioned to create a simple acorn pattern, which can be made in 2-3 hours easily.
I was hugely tickled to see the promo video, which features a somewhat larger version of the acorns;
Although if you make the ones in 'Gathered', they should be this big;

There have been mumblings and grumblings
that it's not available across all tablet platforms; there are plans to expand
availability next year, but there various technical issues to overcome. However, everything starts somewhere. From little acorns big oak
trees grow.
First decent reason for buying an i-pad. Damn.
ReplyDeleteActually am in no way solvent enough for any type of tablet and only have a laptop coz work gave it to me (and will want it back if I leave).
Will have to ask for a subscription to the paper version for my birthday.

Hi Gretel, I love the acorns! and the online mag looks brilliant. I'm still in the dark ages with such things and can't quite get my head around reading magazines online! Despite all the other stuff I do online!

I have begun needlfelting, I'm making little nests and birds but I need to get a new needle and wondered if there was one you could recommend or a good brand or website? It's all very new to me, I did a workshop in it years ago and have only just rediscovered it! (and loving doing it...not so much when I stab myself though!!) I would really appreciate your help, thanks, Lisa (littledottybird@hotmail.co.uk)
